A KTH/KI team demonstrates the use of carbon dioxide as an efficient contrast agent for phase-contrast imaging of microvasculature, providing high contrast with Excillum MetalJet sources. The method is demonstrated on rat kidney, showing 3D tomographic imaging down to 60 µm vessels at acceptebale dose.
