Compliance

All Excillum’s X-ray sources are compliant with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU,  RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and REACH REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006. Excillum’s products are classified as a sub-assembly (partly completed machinery) and so not CE-marked and therefore excluded from the EMC directive 2014/30/EU.

All our products are compliant to the following standards:

  • EN ISO 12100:2010 – Safety of machinery – General principles for design – Risk assessment and risk reduction
  • EN 61010-1:2010 – Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use — Part 1: General requirements

Some of our products have been verified in a third-party test house for the standard EN 61010-1:2010.

In accordance with RoHS and REACH, we are investigating all parts/components in our sources to know if they contain any of the hazardous substances that are stated in RoHS and in Article 33 of the REACH regulation. Our X-ray sources contain Lead (Pb) (CAS Number: 7439-92-1) with a concentration above REACH and RoHS requirements however, they are permissible under RoHS exemptions. Some of our products contain other substances from Article 33 of the REACH regulation.
