Structural insights into the potency of SK channel positive modulators

A group from Chapman University School of Pharmacy have used a Bruker D8 Venture system with a MetalJet X-ray source to study a Small-conductance Ca2+-activated K+ (SK) channel. The interaction between four compounds acting as positive modulators and their binding pockets in the SK channel was investigated and a strong trend between interaction energy and the potency of the compounds was shown.
